skoool Kerala is the latest in a series of worldwide initiatives by Intel in the educational sector. The Intel? Education initiative is a global, multi-million dollar programme focusing on preparing today's students for tomorrow's challenges. In 2000, Intel Corporation contributed more than $107 million worldwide to primary, secondary and third level education programmes.

Education is a major focus area for Intel Ireland. Building on Intel’s mission of being a major force in improving science, maths and technology education, Intel has implemented a number of programmes at both local and national level, including Intel? Teach To The Future.

    Intel Education

IT @ School

The single largest simultaneous deployment of FOSS-based ICT education in the world.

  • ICT-enabled education will reach 1.6 million students per year in the state
  • The work of the Project saw 5 million students and 0.2 million teachers empowered in ICT through a network of dedicated 200 Master Trainers and 5600 IT coordinators.
  • The IT @ School aims to empower the existing teachers in schools to use the various facets of Information and Communication Technology as an educational tool to bring in that paradigm shift from passive learning and rote memorization to methods that foster children’s capacity for critical thinking and their ability to learn on their own.
  • To empower all teachers to be competent and confident to teach with the aid ICT.
  • To give opportunity to all students to leave school with a reasonably good understanding of ICT.
  • To equip all the schools to have the basic equipments and familiarize the issues associated with the maintenance of costly equipments like computers.
  • To substantiate teaching learning process through the use of ICT tool
